The specs on the GSC cams are on their site, but I think you have it about right.

The S2's lift is 11.5mm though.

I will be at a video meet this weekend and I will get a video of them idling at 1k rpm.

Doing the springs and retainers is something I reccomend with any cam install plus the head studs.

I mean you are already in there you might as well upgrade while you are there.

Remember you have to have Valvetrain Upgraded with S2's.

If your going to go that route I would def. do the S2's, thats what I have sitting in my room right now to be installed on my new motor.

If your keeping stock valvetrain do S1's.

This is a misconception most people have...You don't need to upgrade your valve train, but it is recommended so you don't go be stupid and blame it on the cams cause you went out and revved to 9k on your stock valve train, that is why most companies who have higher lift/duration cams say to upgrade your valve train. If you have stock valve train on a stock turbo or even an upgraded turbo, but don't plan on revving to the moon, then its up to you to upgrade IMHO, its cheap insurance as most people would say.

I love the sound of the 280's I've seen on Youtube and was wondering can I do this... I want that Brap...Brap...Brap....Brap
Cosworth M2 for Evo VIII @ 272/272 with 11.00/11.00mm lift is about as aggressive as you can go while making maximum power and not needingn to upgrade the valvesprings and retainers.

We have these in stock ready to ship.

Well, cost of said springs/retainers and then another $200 or so depending on who is installing them and what they charge to install them, cause they take some time. This is all just mere speculation though...

The install of the springs and retainers is much more labor intensive than the cams. I would expect $350-500+ for the install.
