Would anyone know the plus and minus of going with a .76 compared to the larger ones in a TS config ?

Thumbs up

Finally got a chance to do some rough tuning with the Peakboost FTW GT3076R turbo kit and ECUFlash. I've also got a PLX R500, so most of the data is from that unit. Boost response is very impressive. Only spools ~300 rpm slower than the WR Turbo. Tuning is very conservative - rich and near stock timing.

Here's a plot of boost vs RPM in 3rd gear.

I've also calculated horsepower and torque using the MPH and time stamp from the PLX R500. Needs a lot more smoothing, but I've found this correlates well with a dyno. Last time my calculations were about 10% lower than on a SuperFlow dyno. This would be about 380 awhp at only 17 psi. Most important to me is a wide powerband and good pull all the way to 8000 rpm!

Overall, I am very impressed with the Peakboost FTW kit. Quality of all the parts are very impressive. The tubular manifold gives the engine a very wicked exhaust note. And most importantly, customer service from Ken is top notch!

The GT3076R is a great fit as a street turbo. I'll be putting in some 880 cc injectors and turning up the boost to ~22-24 psi on pump gas. After that, I'll head to the dyno and post some plots.

Nice looking kit... where did you start the pull where you datalogged the boost curve? I think we should get a good post to show boost onset for various 30r kits going... I know there was a post like that for 35r kits. That way we can dispel some of the myths people have about various kits. There should be some sort of standard post test method... 3rd gear, 2500 rpm start point, flat surface and then have the user post mods, temperature, elevation, etc.. I think that would be pretty useful to the community.

I love the GT3076R for the street. Killer midrange power, carrying out into the topend.

Keep us updated Bob!

the factory lines/banjo bolts work perfect with minor mods (cutoff factory turbo mounting brackets).
