Just started up the soon to be Highest HP 2.0 EVO again! (sorry no bro's)
Kenny Loggins FTW!!! Top Gun was like my favorite movie of all time when I was kid!
In fact, I can foresee this inflated "friendly" rivalry turning out a lot like Top Gun...
A whole bunch of badasses who are all good at what they do, and are competitive about it, and have different ideas about what they think is good, safe, and fair.
At first Maverick and Goose are wingmen/buddies/bros, who are newer and younger a lot like like Paul, ETS, English Racing. Ice Man and his bro (forget his co pilot's name) are like al and David. they are older school and have their set ideas about what they like and how things should be done.
But by the end...
"You can be my wingman anytime..."
"Bull****, you can me MINE!"
hopefully nobody dies like goose though
Just like Mav saved Ice Man's *** (or was it the other way around?), maybe at a big race some day, one of you will need something, like a tool, or a part, or some gas, and one of you will step up and be a better man and help out your rival to keep them in the game, and hello bro downs and man hugs and tears of comraderie will ensue.
I'm getting a little misty eyed just thinking about it.
Oh... and I can't wait to see track results from BOTH of your cars.

Yes my shop looks like a scrap yard. I am only 28 and working very hard to build my dream. I have no money backing me just what I earn my self to get this business going. I do own my shop though and it is commercial. Things are in the works to have it bling in a few years. I am setting my Business up so I will be here for many years to come.
I know I am not a master but cant help what my cust say.

Well I would not start bashing dynos. I feel Dyno Jets read very close to each other. I have been on 4 different dyno Jets and they all were very close to what they should be for the mods done. I have made 431whp on a VIII turbo so I would sure as hell hope he could make 450whp on a green. I have a friend that runs a 128mph in a full weight GVR4 on a 30r so will all the right mods 550whp on a DJ is possible.
Al dyno Curve looks great and I would hope so for the mods done. I feel our car hit the 1000whp mark very easy but getting to the 1014mark was a little harder. Our 1009whp curve was much better like Als, But the 1014 sucked do to trying out the 1.44 hot side.
With all the changes we have made for this year I hope our old 1014 will be very easy. Not sure on Pauls 1100whp but we will just have to see.
We did our 1009 on one Dyno jet in Portland OR and the 1014 on a Dyno Jet in Salem OR. We were still running the small Magnus intake and air to air IC.
New HP mods from our 1014 whp.
-GSC C&C ported head (Bowl work buy us)
-GSC s3 cams (Last year S2)
-10:1 comp motor (8.7:1 last year)
-ETS water to Air ic (130-140deg intake temps last year hopping for 60-70deg this year)
-Electric water pump
-Bigger turbo 45R comp in a 42 housing with a Tial exhaust housing.
-Different Intake manifold.
So with all these mods I would hope we could make a little more HP.

Al
Paul-
Couple of observations:
1) The car looks sick
2) I am disappointed in you for not having at LEAST one fist bump throughout the whole video...
3) I am disappointed in you for not punching Tom in the stomach before you turned the key
Keep on truckin'
P.S. When did you say your fight was??

Great video. Good luck with the car. It's a shame some people can't take a little good-humored razzing.
Al, if you have a problem with this video there are at least a dozen videos that you made that you should start writing apologies for.

Why is it that in the thread Buschur started there were no NorthWest guys in there badmouthing his accomplishment, in fact there was some praise coming from the NW. Now it seems in this thread there is nothing but negative character comments coming from the East Coast...over what? A friendly jab? makes me ashamed to live on this half. Al you need to grow up, you are pouting like a little 4 year old girl, learn to take a joke, there is nothing to cry about
Man, all the vendors nowadays get their feelings hurt easy. Everyone has the same passion and strive for betterness in the field, why can't you all just enjoy it and go about your ways?
Al you have to be one of the MOST hippocritical guys I've ever seen. I'm glad I wasn't around the night you came and flashed some of the local evo's with the garbage you called a tune back then.

Our drag car last year put down 1050 whp on our 2.1 but is too has gone over quite a few changes

Eric
Get over Al it was abit of fun.
Also to the guy commenting about their garage being a scrapyard you dont need a state of the art premises to be good at what you do.
I live in Ireland and my tuner used to work out of a garage under his house and did all his mapping on the road and he is very good at what he does alot better than most here with there fancy premises.
