Raising the boost

So I have a 06 IX MR and was wondering if I get the Hallman Pro boost controller. Will I have to get it tune in order to up the boost or can i just add a 1- 1.5 pounds right away. I have searched but nothing really what I needed. Thanks for any help

Waiting for AMS to make a visit to AZ then I will be on that in an instant. So just wait for the tune then raise the boost up then?

Is there such thing as good 91 octane? lol. I have race gas available right down the street. I can always mix up a batch and half 91 half race. Hey mellon how much are your stuff. I heard a lot about you. You seem to know your stuff.

I've had some customers from Arizona and they had that same nasty 91 octane that the cali guys have to deal with, so I was just looking out for you just in case. Some of those cars came to me with major knocking because they raised the boost or added mods and weren't tuned for it.

I've got pricing on www.mellontuning.com and if you read the site you can learn all about how I do things but let me know if you have any questions and thanks for your interest

should be fine. I ran 22 psi untuned, never had a problem. Now that i'm tuned i run 24-25 psi.

just turn it up 1 psi at a time and do minimum 10 runs, if no knock turn it up another 1 ect...
a good rule of thumb to follow is 1* retard for every 2psi increase in boost about.
more boost less timing is better than less boost more timing, that is what I find.

I wouldn't go above stock boost on 91 octane just to be safe.
