p0171 code too lean

p0171 code too lean

hi i just got a p0171 engine light code for my 03 evo. i just looked undewr my hood and found out that the line that goes from my intakemanifold to my fuel pressure regulator blew off from the fpr. i think this is why im getting a code for too lean . any feedback is appreshated.

That will do it. Make sure when you put that hose back on it is on to stay.

see now i have been getting this code and doing everything i can in my power to get rid of it. only thing i have yet to do is buy a new front o2 sensor, and havent done that yet because its $250. i think thats my last option.

i have...

1. cleaned my maf 2x
2. cleaned my air filter 2x
3. been retuned with more fuel at idle
4. checked all vacume hoses

only thing i can think is the front o2 is burned out and not read correctly. i mean im not running lean at all. at idle it sits at 14.4-15.2 a/f.

any sugestions are welcome.

^ Yea man in you case it could def be the O2 or possibly a bad FPR.

i just got. the code again p171 i reconnected the hose to the fpr. what can i do next i just installed my fp green,intake.uicp,megan manifold,megan o2,680cc injector. what can be the problem

How many miles on the O2 sensor? Sounds like its your problem either way though.

my car was fine untill i installed those parts above and got a dyno tune

it doesnt make sense i wish it was only an o2 sensor. any feedback is welcomed

you added 680 injectors, incorrectly adjusted injector latencies will throw that code.
