Adding more mods without dyno tuning?

Quick question.......if you have already tuned your engine with a boost controller and an air fuel controller and you are planning on adding an exhaust is it necessary to get your car retuned on the dyno? the upgraded exhaust should allow more airflow through the engine but the air flow sensor should pick this up and overall your car should still shoot for the same air/fuel ratios right? maybe there is something i am missing here. if someone could enlighten me on this topic i would appreciate it. the reason i bring this up in the first place is that i would like to install the exhaust myself to save in labor and if all possible i would like to avoid the $180/hr it costs to use the awd dyno here in arizona. oh and fyi my car was tuned to 11/1 air/fuel ratio so that is the margin of safety i would be playing with if i installed the exhaust and didn't retune.
