The best marketing video would be a traditional "before and after" comparison.

Al, without this product, blowing up his tranny. Al, after this product installation, launching without incident. Maybe setting a new personal best.

What could be more convincing? Kaching, Kaching, cash registers overflowing. Dozens of transmissions and transfer cases protected/saved from carnage.

Shep and TRE better get together and buy the rights to this quick, and deep six it, or their rebuild businesses will shrink by half

I think that this is what caused the confusion:

Sadly the first guy we installed one in his car would not cooperate with my video fixation. I have no choice now but to wait till my car is up and runing again - about a week I think to make a full video.

A few points

#1 - To be clear when my transmission let loose at the track I did not yet have the launching aide. IF I had had the launching aide it is likely that my trans may not have failed at the line as it did.

Video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIgTab4bQ28

#2 - When the trans exploded apparently the stock flywheel bolts streched and the flywheel started to rattle as I was sitting wondering WTF just happpend - you can hear a stange sound after I was sitting there with the engine at idle after I stopped - that was the sound of the flywheel bashing about.

The end of the engine crank that mates to the flywheel was dented and damaged from the loose flywheel so I elected to take apart the engine to take it to a crank shop and have the end of the flywheel skimmed.

There is NO damage to my engine other than the slight marks on the end of the crank.

#3 - As we are a public shop and dozens of people walk in and out every day someone saw my car up on the lift and myself removing the crank and immediately spread this data to other local competing facilities who then in turn gossiped like high school school girls as they have nothing better to do and told other Evo tuning facilities in various states. Within hours the phone lines, AIM and emails were lighting up and I was soon recieving messages from fellow tuners "Al "_ _ _ _ " says you just blew up your engine." "Al _ _ _ _ _ said your car is blown up just like the ' BlOWN BISH' blew up last week.

This brings several thing to mind

A - These people obviously have no life

B - These people obviously dont have enough buisness

C - These people obviously have no class

#4 - When you go to race a 1,000 plus whp Evo - things can and will break. Especially when you are trying to go 8 seconds on the 1/4 mile its very abusive on the drivetrain. At the last DSM shootout all the drag 8 second capable evos broke (Buschur and AMS) or did not run - Dam B. There is no shame in breaking things - its part of having a fast car. I take this car apart and put it back together just to look at the bearings - its not a big deal it takes me less than 2 hours to pull the crank.

#5 - When I was the fastest Evo 8 - for about a year and a half - there was a lot of haters and stupid remarks. Then after Buschur and AMS beat my times significantly there was a relaxing perod where I had less stress everyone could relax and go about their business without hating on what I was doing. Apparently now that I was able to break 1,000 whp and break the record for the most powerful 2.0 L Evo - (using my Bushcur race fmic and full exhuast) - it seems certain individuals once again have a hard on for me and can't resisit to be haters.

I take all this in stride and laugh about it. I frankly was really amused to hear from so many tuners and shops this week inquiring about the status of my engine. They know who they are - I wont expose them here but how sad that this is what they spend their time worrying about. Get a life.

Al

Just to clarify. The person we did an install of this device did not allow me to make a video of the operation of the unit.

I later recieved a unit for my own car to test but in the meantime my car was already broken.

By next week I will have my car back up and running after I recieve my flywheel back from the machine shop - then I will install the launching aide and I will make a video of how it works on a private facility (not a public road)

Hope this clarifies the situation

Al

damn, Al I hate to see that but nobody should be surprised or disappointed when parts fail under that much strain.

good luck on the next outing.

Easiest way to shut them up and their gossip-train is to just post pics of the scored crank in one piece like the pic of the transmission above.

That'll quickly take the wind out of their sails.

DSSA, it will not do ANYTHING by posting further pictures. Guys like you who chose to be haters will say that the picture he posts is just a picture of another crank and proves nothing. Just like you did when I tested intake manifolds. Now you are finding time to spout off about EVO's overheating because they have thick FMIC's on them. Welcome to the 2000's where EVO's don't overheat, either get up to date or go back to the 90's with the overheating DSM's.

Seeing as though I am the only one who didn't use a 3.5" thick core it wasn't too hard to figure out. If you don't think DSM's had overheating problems you should have stepped out from behind the parts counter more and taken a look around.

Nothing wrong with my intake testing either. It was obviously good enough for a 10 page spread in an upcoming magazine.

Also, one guy quoted with you, I didn't see anyone agreeing.

The only thing that is typical BS around here is the crap you are pulling and posting.
