I was just going to change the ring gear on the diff. On the caps I can't get it to open the file.

 

Are you going to keep the LSD then? The CV axle is too short to use the Evo LSD.
I kept my stock front diff. Makes it easy to use a DSM trans if I ever had to go back. Also, do the gearing calcs with a DSM final drive and Evo 5th gear.

Sorry, don't know what to tell you about the CAPS - that's the same one I had used.

 

the evo final drive is 3.909
dsm final drive is 3.54

you are correct in needing to swap a 3.54 ring and pinion into the evo 2 box to make it work with your 3.54 rear pumpkin. problem with that is it would only work with non-lsd evo box. the factory lsd is larger than a dsm diff. the ring gears wont swap.

 

Well there goes that idea ^. I'm still trying to get the caps to work. I got it open but it won't find any info. Thanx for all the help guys. I'll try calling rre.

Just called tre. The gears are not the same and they do not recomend modifying them for double synchro. Anyone have a evo 3 tranny 4sale????
