6-speed MR clutch in a 5 speed?

I recently came upon a very slighty used, meaty clutch and flywheel. (Exedy Cerametallic 3 puck) The only problem is that it's from a 6-speed for an MR and I own a 5-speed VIII. I've been searching around different part numbers etc. I just wanted to know if anyone would have some definite input as to if it would work properly. Thanks.

"lol" is pretty vague if you ask me. If you've got something to share, why not let it out?

why would it be any different than shifting in to any other gear? the clutch is just there to maintain a physical connection in the driveline. the gears in the transmission are selected independent of wether or not the clutch is engaged.

Ive found that when you order a clutch at most places, they never ask whether you have a 5 or 6 speed. good luck, your doing probally the best you can do as far as running the part numbers

yeah, part numbers all look the same. I was thinking about calling Exedy or another retailer, being a business there is a possibility that they would just say they weren't compatible to have me have to purchase a new one.
