Is that the BOV recirculating hose? That could cause some weird things to happen. Would the kink in that hose be similar to running an atmosphere vent BOV. Meaning, the airflow meter would be telling the ECU there is more air coming into the intake manifold than there actually is. Maybe causing some idiling problems or stalling at stop lights and so forth.
