Hey guys i have an evo 8 and i was planning on upgrading to an evo 9 turbo? i was debating between the evo 9 10.5 single puck turbo or evo 9 20g 10.5 single puck turbo? i notice its only a $200 difference but is it worth the $200 for the 20g? and also does the 20g make more power and faster or better spool up?

I think you may be a little confused and have not paid attention to the Evo world for the past year or so.

First of all, you don't even need to think about or mention the style of hotside. Single-puck, dual-puck, it doesn't matter. Next, there are a BUNCH of "20g" turbos out there, but there is only ONE that matters, and that's the 20G-LT/FPGREEN. This turbo does not cost $200 more than a regular IX, so you are looking at the wrong thing.

If you want a IX, get one used for about $450 shipped. If you want a real 20g, then be ready to pay $1700 and get it from Buschur, FP, or whoever happens to be able to get one in stock within the next month (BR may have some right now). Either way, be sure to get the proper install components so that they work with your VIII - oil/coolant lines and the compressor outlet pipe.
