i been running bpr7es gapped to .026 for a long time now and had no issues but just today my CEL came on and it was a p0300 random misfire code.... would i benefit anything by going to br8es? i went to autozone and bpr7es wasn't in the system anymore...the only one they had was bpr5es which said was for stock... im going back tomorow to see if they have br8es... any help be good...

 

what are your mods? if your just basic bolt ons you wont see any benefits from going colder.

 

try advance auto parts or tell them to search for the part number, i think is this one
BPR8ES = 3923
BPR7ES = 2023

 

If you're running higher than stock boost, you might benefit from gapping your plugs a bit tighter than .026 --- but again, that depends on your mods.

 

i have buschur 20g with all supporting mods 23psi..(intake, exhaust, intercooler, fuel pump ect...) i ran bpr7es with no problem for a while but just today i had the p0300 with these spark plugs

 

id stay with the bpr7es the bpr8es are for a lil more boost then what your running...i have the bpr8es and need to go down to the bpr7es cause im only running 23psi as well

 

You won't benefit. They'll just foul up sooner. Just get fresh 7's.

not to thread hijack but im having the exact same issue. i was recomended to go with BPR7EIX iridium plugs gapped at .22

 

iridiums FTL!!!!!! just get some 7s you should be fine at that low of boost just close the gap a little more.

 

^^ care to elaborate on why iridiums ftl? this advice came from CBRD.

 

^Because they are a waste of money. Coppers work best. I also doubt you need .22 at low boost on a stock turbo. Is .26 breaking up or something?

 

we solve many misfire issues using IR's....

coppers have to replaced every 3000 miles normally, and cant create the spark a IR can..

do what you want. but we just fixed a misfire on an 8 with alky/30R yesterday by replacing the bpr7es gapped .22 with bpr7eix, gapped to .22.....

the car wouldnt make over 25psi with the coppers...

our time attack car (previously) wouldnt make over 25, we ran the BR7eix non protruded tip, and got 31 psi with them.

This is 100% true my car was blowing out spark also with the coppers, then Chad put in the BR7EIX and it fixed the problem!

I tried just about every plug to.

 

with my current setup... bpr7es is more than enough isn't it?

 

I have my bpr7es's gapped to .22.
