theres nothing wrong with revving a 2.3 to 8500.. i rev mine to 9000.. if anything goes wrong.. ill build another one!!
im running the same setup.. well, almost! went with a double pumper, still havent yanked up the boost to 2 bar.. having fun at 1.8, too bad we dont have an AWD dyno here!!

Seriously though I hope I'm able to run mid 10s @ 130+ I'm not that upset but at what point/boost is pump/meth on a 2.3 no longer a good idea... besides not to run meth period and go straight up race gas?
Basic 2.3, built head . . . all supporting mods and a garret35r w/ S cover,

Running meth is another option like getting better octane. It allows you to run more boost (pressure) and raise timing to make more power without detonating the engine. But it will have its limits.

Well it depends on the motor and what the motor can handle. I was able to get 550 easily and stopped because of the fear of detonating with pump gas, if i ever got bad gas.

Thats a pic from the dyno. I need to get the fenders and hood painted and waiting on my wheels. Ill post pics when its 100% finished.
