Best MAF pipe?
I wanted to know which MAF/Intake pipe everyone is having the most luck with? I know certain ones can throw off the MAF sensor and cause idling issues. I wonder if my idling issues are due to my ETS MAF pipe. Is there a particular MAF pipe that works flawlessly and doesn't require a re-tune of any sort?
Thanks
Thanks
Not so much the pipe as its the filter maybe, but if you have the ETS intake kit then maybe you just need a tune and throwing in the intake just added to your problems?
Mine runs fine, so it sounds like something different to me? Just my opinion though.

I have an Apexi Intake filter along with the ETS hard pipe. I couldnt imagine it being my intake filter, because so many people run that filter. I'm going to try and look for my OEM intake pipe and try and put that back on and see what happens.
Any one have any other thoughts?

I had throttle hang and rpm rising when i lifted off the throttle.....put the stock maf pipe in and it went away - still run the cone filter.
Most problems I would be willing to bet people have are do to the maf pipe, put the stock one back in and see what happens - only way to know for sure?

There are a couple of tricks to use when tuning the stock MAF including turning off the o2 sensor at idle and some fuel/timing stuff that Lucas at English Racing uses when tuning aftermarket intakes on EVOs. From my experience it does seem that a tuner very familiar with this particular part of tuning an EVO on the stock ECU is important to get a stock-like idle. Feel free to call if there's anything with which we can help!

I don't think it is you intake, to me it sounds like more of an injector issue, I would take them out and have them flow tested and cleaned, and if i am wrong the worst thing is you are out $14 and have clean well flowing injectors.
But i really do think that this is what is leading to your issues, good luck!
