there is a way to find the diffs in the lancers. it is the handling. the TORSEN is the best torque baising differential ever. torsen is used all over, mostly used in AUDI "QUATTRO" or VW "4 MOTION"!
thats why it handles so well. the Lancer evo 6 and 7 use torsen inthe front. yeah, so, it realy changes the cars proformance. people don't know that differentials are extreamly importaint to a cars handling and proformance!

Torsen?

Torsen is used in lots of quattros and miata
and various cars. They can be setup to provide
a wide range of behavior. Miata owners love
thiers. Most audi owners like them, but don't
try to do drifting with a torsen equipped
quattro from the 90 series. The torque hunts
from front to rear and is very difficult to
drive. To be fair, the designers did not
expect people to try to rally or race that
street car. My understanding is that the EVO
VI box has a helical diff in it, but that it is
of japanese origin, and I have never seen any
indication of licensing agreement to Torsen
for the part. Can you set me straight? If you
can and live in the south east, say hi to Rick.
