as title, what could be the cause of it? it seems like the pulsating suction sound is coming from my blitz sus open pod and it happens at the higher band rpms (5500-7000) during wot. boost is held at 22psi and controlled thru motec and uprated perrin boost solenoid.

is this a sign of compressor surge? or could the sound be due to my uprated perrin boost solenoid?

my mods are the usual bolt ons, 6-fin 20g, ams fmic with lower piping, jdm dv, motec, blitz sus open pod.

 

You'll need to provide more detailed information. Please describe the pulsating sound more completely. When does it happen: at WOT, part throttle, or at cruise? Is the sound accompanied by bucking? When did you start to notice the sound? Did you first notice it after adding a particular mod to your car?

 

Off hand, I'd guess that the sucking sound you are hearing is due to the particular combination of the intake pod filter and the 6-blade 20G compressor wheel. Does this happen under light throttle application mostly?

 

this happened after my ride went on the dyno for a retune. i heard the sound only during WOT at higher rpm range. not sure if you meant bucking as this but i did feel that the car was sort of holding back and not pulling as hard once the pulsating sound came on.
