Injen intake + Blitz filter = Good

How do you make a great intake even better? Just add a new filter and I decided to go with the Blitz SUS filter and this thing is the best filter that I ever seen. So anyone looking to replace or have a second filter for their Injen kit, take a look at the Blitz SUS (Stainless mess filter).

It could be just me but soon as installed the SUS filter, the power seem to be bit smoother. I say these filter are as good as the K&N type in filtering out dirt as long as it's in the engine bay plus you don't get oil on the MAF sensors.
Only draw back if there is any would be the SUS filter does heat soak more than foam or cotton since it's stainless mess.

Injen kit is easy to install once you take off the bumper. Takes about an hour or so to get it installed if you know how to work on cars.
The filter part is easy since it takes about a minute to change.

Yes that's my ghetto style heat shield . It's my first test fit kit. Maybe when I have more time, I might build a nicer looking one since now I know what the dimensions are.

that's not aluminum foil, i think that's the heat shield material. Samething on the hood.

I would of just gotten some aluminum cut that mounts from a shop.

I don't recommend aftermarket intake kit unless you have a reflash like Works P2 or other type to have the ECU tuned for open filter type.
I used to use the stock air box with a drop-in filter and it made a small but butt dyno noticable differance.
Injen kit is a step up from the drop-in filter and stock air box mostly because of the hard ic pipe. Blitz filter is step above the K&N type filter IMO.

I didn't feel much of an improvement since my engine mounts seemed to hold the engine well (engine doesn't rock back and forth when I shut the engine off or move when I rev the engine). But, I like it since it's like an extra support plus I have it bolted on my strut bar.

I have the injen kit... the only thing that's a pain is the lower ic pipe... i did it by removing the undertray only, and it sucked... heh... i recommend removing the front bumper... much much easier to install and align... great great kit... and their filters are actually really good... the blitz filters are nice and do pull in a lot of air, but, if you live in a dry dusty/dirt area, consider the APEX'i filter... it's prolly the best performing and more importantly, filtering piece on the market....
