Slipped out of 5th Gear

Today while driving home, and coasting, the car slipped out of 5th gear. Is this the synchro and if so, how much $ is this going to cost. The gears don't grind, but I did notice recently the lever doesn't seem to sit in the gearbox with the snap it used to. The car has 90 K on it, and I'm wondering if it is about to get too expensive (unreliable) to keep. Also, I saw some comments about TSB's (Tech Service Bulletins regarding 03 synchros. Does this mean anything like it could be covered even though the warranty is out?

Slipping out of 5th can mean low on fluid... I would advise not driving the car until you try adding some fluid to the tranny.
