TC or RD?? What the dealership said!
I took my car to the service department today due to the whining noise coming out of my drivetrain......I though it was the TC ring and pinion but after the tech guy and manager at my dealership tested it for over 30 miles......I was told it was the RD that needed to be replace.......so far so good as far as warranty because I have bolts ons but they seem not to care.......they called mitsu for permission to order the RD because it's a EVO and all drivetrain replacement needs authorization.
Anyways, I told them about the death whine from the TC and how it's common to EVOs but they assured me it was the RD...they even called tech line to see for these type of symptons around the nation and it was confirm that the RD was the culprit.
IF they are right...what can I do to improve my RD? any aftermarkets parts to avoid flexing and tear?
thanks guys!
