Finally found my p0171 issue!!!!!!

so i did another boost leak check yesterday and i was hearing hissing from the throttle body shaft. well i went to the mitsu dealer yesterday and talked to the parts guy and there was no replacement o-rings where i needed them to be. well there is but mitsu doesnt offer them. so today i found this....

100% thats my issue. i have been dealing with this since sept when i got my alky tuned. at first i thought it was the alky doing it, then i had the car re-tuner 3 times. the motor was then rebuilt and it was still doing it. replaced the o2 sensor and still doing it. had the fuel trims fattened up, still doing it. hahah so needless to say, i have been through a lot.

weird thing is, the car made 504whp with this leaky TB. wtf? was and still is holding 28-29 psi with the bad seals. hahaha weird. i did however notice that when u turn the TB, the leak lessens. also there is a lot of slop in it so i know its the seals.

im sooooo happy i dont have to spend $1000 pn cobb accessport and a tune, or 500+ on a new TB. $11 from mach V motorsports. yay!!!!

Yeah, I think every Evo over 30k miles should definitely replace these seals. It's always been my biggest leak.
