Cat back and down pipe? Factory

Hi everyone. New member here with a new addition to my garage... 2003 Silver Evo 8! I have debated long and hard on which car to buy for the last year and have taken a round about route to get to the Evo, but I'll save that for another time. I have worked into my purchase of the Evo the cat-back exhaust and down pipe from the factory. Has anyone else done this and how did they like it (performance and sound).

He must be dealing with one of the guys that sells rmr stuff. I would really question them about the drive train portion of your warranty and make sure you get something in writting that confirms that you are not voiding any portion of your warranty.

If it aint in writting it does not exist as far as this topic goes.

It's in writing that is does not void warrenty. The dealer is installing the RMR exhaust before I pick it up. I figured it wouldn't hurt getting for the hundred bucks installed.
Anyone else get this done?

You are paying $100 for them to install your exhaust? If i read that right you are crazy. Go to an exhaust place and they will charge like $40 or so. No need to drop a bill for mitsu to hang some pipes

he isnt crazy for paying 100 for that. Cause it will retain all factory warrenties. In fact i think this is the best way to do it. If your dealer offers it do it. You can get your upgrades and your warrenty that is a double win.

I am paying $100 for the exhaust (cat back and downpipe) AND installation all together. I worked it in when I bought the car...barganing piece. No one else out there has bought the RMR exhaust from the dealer and had it put on their Evo?

I got RMR downpipe and catback and the dealer didn't void my warranty. They told me it's ok and they have bunch of RMR logo in their office. I guess only in Orange County, CA since RMR is here.

$30,912 for the Evo with carbon fiber rear wing, sunroof, and price of cat back and down pipe installed. (plus it is silver ) I got the car for MSRP which is not a great deal but I did make out on the exhaust pieces saving almost $1,000 for parts and install rate. I got a fair deal on trading in my Audi TT as well. I am not sure I understand the question above for whether or not I think they are actually going to just keep the stock exhaust on the car (basically screwing me? ). I am getting the stock exhaust with the car... it'll be in the trunk when I get it though....

G20, how do you like your RMR exhaust? Did you get the catback and down pipe? How is the sound and performance? I am picking up my car at the end of this week so I haven't had a chance to check it out yet. Thanks
