upgrading turbo question

i would like to upgrade my turbo in my 06 evo IX, was wondering if it could be done while maintaining my factory warranty. thanks and i appreciate it!

No. Keep your old turbo handy and reinstall it if you ever need to take it in.

you would have to tune the car after a new turbo upgrade, the dealer would then know if anything were to go wrong

sure you could, but you wont be able to just install the turbo without other supporting mods. Then you get the mod bug and then it's all over... So you know the hell with the warranty! Happy Modding

You can upgrade to the Green, which looks like stock. The dealer will think you have a factory freak

i'm not sure about the evo 9 turbo, but as a general guide, you can usually machine out some of the stock compressor housing and install a larger compressor wheel. this would look stock.

but you always run the risk of the dealership finding out you've done modifications. there's always telltale signs such as evidence that you've removed the exhaust manifold and/or turbo which then would lead to them checking the components more carefully.

i have a evo 7 and am also looking at getting a new turbo for a good hp gain what would anyone think is my best way to go
