Fuel Pump Question

Since im an old time DSM owner, i was wondering if anyone knows if one of my extra Walbro 255 fuel pumps from my 1G Dsm ( 1991 Eclipse Gsx) will fit in my evo 8???

i have one that is new and just laying around, soo figured it could get some use to it if it would work in the evo...

if not let me know , before i pull it apart and waste my time

thanks

no .. its a walbro 255lph... now will the install be just as easy as if i ordered one for the evo specific??? its basically all plug n play.. ive installed many many dsm pumps... soo figure the evo install will be pretty easy

im just not lookin to rig anything up with this car, as i like to keep it reliable..

let me know if anything on the pump is different.. such as the main plug, wiring, tube anything

thanks

whenever i go on online sites to try and purchase one for an evo.. than for a 1g.. it comes up as different part #'s... leading me to beleive that something is different between them

im pretty sure that the part number for my 3G eclipses fuel pump is diff than the evo's but im currently running a IX fuel pump and the install was just as easy as swapping in an oem one.
Im pretty sure its the same with the 1G.

what's the model number? The difference will be in the electrical plug connector and the orientation between the suction and discharge nozzles on the pump.

The GSS342 (fits the Evo8)has the suction and discharge nipples directly over each other.
