Question Disconnected the batterie, now evo wont idle???

I disconnected my batterie for a few seconds and now my evo wont idle. it seems to drive fine, but it wont hold idle when stopped. Did I loose my tune? Got my ecu tunned a few months back by the man " Sean Ivey" and the car was driving 100% before I disconnected it .
Any help would be appreciated.

It probably just needs a few blocks to learn the car again. Mines does this every time I disconnect from the battery. Just give it some time and miles.

Actually if you left it disconnected long enough then your trims reset. If this caused your car to not idle then you need to check your tune again. Did you adjust latencies? Did you scale new injectors? If so, did you reset the trims before you started? Just a few things to consider. Hope this helps out. If you log your trims and your STFT is in excess of 20 on mitsulogger then you need to check your tune. If your LTFT low is 12.5 then the same applies.

I went for a 13 mile highway drive and it still not 100% on idle.

All I did was leave it disconnected for 10-20 seconds to see if my C.E.L. went back on bc i had it erased a couple hrs before. I didnt do anything else besides disconnect the negative cable for 10-20sec and connected back on.

Try to disconnect your battery again, let the ecu reset and when you connect it back, let the car idle for couple of minutes.

Check if you didn't disconnected as well the MAF by mistake.

usually when u disconnect your battery you reset your adaptive strategies saved on your ecu but you car should relearn it with due time. the idle issue might have somthing to do with your tune maybe a software issue/conflict. the idle prob should not continue for a long duration how long total have you been experiencing this now?

Let it idle for a bit, after a few days it should work this problem out.

My Evo always idles a bit funny after resetting the ECU, my g/f's WRX does it, and my ex's Civic did it.

That adjusts a different trim. From what I understand you should:

1. Disconnect the battery again
2. Reconnect it
3. Start your car, and dont touch the gas pedal
4. Let it idle without touching the gas pedal for 15-20 minutes

That should be plenty of time to get your low fuel trims where they need to be
