Suman's Revenge - 685 whp on BR cast kit with FP GT37HTA (I was wrong)

I stand corrected of my observations on the FP GT37 HTA based upon my testing on Suman's Evo IX

Previously Suman had a lovely Gt3065 Buschur cast turbo kit and stock engine on a reflash with alcohol and pump gas making a bit over 500 whp at 29 psi

Wanting more power we suggested drop in pistons and a AEM stand alone

Suman decided to order the Gt37 HTA which against my recomendation and the suggestion of Master David Buschur I reluctanly tried to tune and the results were not that great

Flash forward we did some diagnosis on the car and found a cracked / broken valve spring

We R & R 'd the head and got back on the dyno tonight to shock myself with some serioud numbers from a car with a lot of mild parts

Stock head - just valve springs
Stock T/B
Stock intake manifold
Mild 272 cams

The car made 685 at 41 psi of boost and has room to go over 700 whp

Suman has a Driven innovations intake manifold on order - more to come

For now I must say I eat my words on this turbo combo - clearly it would spool faster with a better back houding but it sure is making power

Old Gt3065 vs new Gt37 HTA

Great work! I saw the car a few days ago when I was home on break. Can't wait to get my HTA 35R installed and tuned by ICS. C'ya in May and hopefully I'll get to run into Suman on the streets one day

Thumbs up

Cant wait to get the intake manifold and 3" throttle body on there to make some serious power. I believe the car at full weight can go a low 10 all day long. I will be at the track in the next couple weeks. I think I will be lookin into roll cages soon! LOL Thanks Again Al and Sean for your hard work and late hours last night. It was well worth stayin up let me tell you.

that was on 109 unleaded. The car with a second meth nozzle should hold right around 640awhp with out the intake manifold. Probably about 670awhp with it. THis is where I will keep the car.
