I wouldnt tear the motor apart yet.
yeah i found the rocker, it looks fine but i will get it checked out to be sure.

The motor has 30% leakdown on 3 and 4, thats why im pulling it down.

anyone know how to get the crank pulley off? i got the 4 bolts off, but it seems stuck on still, do i need to remove the 1/2 drive center one?

No you dont have to remove the 1/2 drive bolt. Just the 4. My be stuck on. If you cant get it off get a puller.

Also my guess would be he installed the cams and didnt notice the rocker was not set in properly. And once it was fired up it scored the cam lobe and then fell off.

so i got the head off, there is some piston damage on the crowns near the vavle recess, it looks like they have overheated and chipped off.

I dont think it would cause a problem at all IMO. The injector doesn't have to be perfectly aligned (so to speak) A clean injector will have a even spray pattern no matter how it is installed.
