I sure hope so as well..
cause I got the HKS kansai too

This is awesome! Great work Indy and Buschur Racing! Your commitment to these cars is why I haven't gone a different route yet. I honestly could have had a twin turbo Lambo by now but the Evo, to me, is like crack to Tyrone Biggums... HA! Keep up the great work!

To help the situation I believe from these results it shows the INDY EVO intake manifold outperforms the HKS when both use the 65 mm TB. So bravo Indy and Buschur for sure.

I'm feeling just like you are

Spent $2100USD+ shipping on my HKS unit..

thinking it was the baddest thing out...

sigh

I guess someone needs to write a sticky and keep a log of what was said about various power mods, what was the most powerful at what time, and what has beaten it since then!

...then again, that would not help, it would not get read....

Dave and Indy, thanks for all of your effort. You guys make it interesting to come on here everyday and find new results and proven products being released... without that, it would be pretty boring around here

With David talking about ~$600 in labor to do these porting services, wouldn't it be more economical to design a sheetmetal piece? It would give you additional freedom in runner and plenum design. Because of the potential freedoms offered in a fabricated piece, I have to wonder if the decision to stick to the factory casting is more intentional for performance reasons then consequential of fitment or cost requirements?
At the end of the day, nothing fits your car like an OEM piece. Plus, its down right sneaky sneaky <-- thats a good thing.

3" upper i/c pipe lost some midrange, NO gains up top. This was mated to a 3" throttle body and with a 3" outlet on the FMIC.

The HKS Kansai intake is excellent and when tested with the STOCK throttle body barely lost out to the Hypertune with the 3" I then later tested the Driven Innovations intake manifold with the 3" throttle body and the performance was slightly better than the Hypertune and 3" TB. This made it the overall winner. I DID NOT TEST THE HKS KANSAI with a 3" TB as it wasn't possible without some fab work I wasn't willing to do. The Kansai with the Q45 intake would be very hard to beat I am guessing.

PLEASE READ THIS:

This intake manifold is going to be available THROUGH BUSCHUR RACING ONLY. No matter how many PM's you send directly to Indy EVO, you are only going to get answers or product THROUGH BUSCHUR RACING. PLEASE do not bother Indy EVO about it, please.

Next up is pricing. Looks like we were WAY off on the price and not good news, so this is just a warning that the price is going to be more than the AMS and Driven units. The amount of work that goes into this is more time consuming and complicated than we thought. Nothing final yet but I just want to put it out there as a warning.

I may try to see if we can run these in large batches to drop the pricing.

Indy believes there is another 10-15 whp to be gained in the intake manifold, still using the 65 MM throttle body. If that is the case that would make this the clear HP winner of anything I have tested. I am sending another intake over for the next round of work, let's hope there is 10-15 more in there.

So will this pricing be for a new unit, or is there going to be a core swap out deal? 10-15 more whp!! Sounds promising.

It really seems like the cost is getting high enough that an investment cast piece would be benefical. With investment casting, you can get a part cast to finished specifications and the only thing left to do would be drilling and tapping of acc. mounts and machining gasket surfaces.

I like the idea of a stock appearing part as much as anybody. But with the layout of the stock manifold being offset, thus making the runner lengths/paths unbalanced, it seems like there is power to be made in a different casting. Maybe it's not that big of a deal though?
