AEM and Injen intakes.

I have heard that AEM and Injen intakes are coming out soon for our Evos. I had the best experiance with both on my s2000 and my RSX S it gave my RSX about 15 HP and 18 TQ on the dyno . Plus they are well made, what do you guys think? any bad experiance with them? have you heard anything about them for the EVO??

Go short ram intake. It makes NO SENSE to go CAI with a turbo car. The heat from the turbo itself nullifies the cold air.
I know AEM is making one but haven't heard anything from INJEN ?

I'll stick to my disagreement on CAI and I/C turbo set ups. I have seen CAI and short ram put to the test with same results from short ram

The gains from an intake on this car are minimal at best ove sustained runs....I'd save my money, unless you want the look, which admittedly, is nicer than stock!

Don't beat yourselves up over it guys!

You don't have a choice. AEM scrapped the idea of a ColdAir about a month ago... However, just YESTERDAY (8-7-03) the short ram was released!

Part # 22-435... Blue, Polished, and Red available.

Injen however is still "in the works"... Personally, I distribute both and will be waiting for the Injen...

Additionally, Injen (if Im not mistaken) will be offering 2 different short ram intakes for our cars... One where a VTA BOV in installed, and one with a recirculating [stock] BOV installed, a la their 95-98 Turbo DSM Intakes (IS1890/IS8191)...

Az3ar - Settle down man...

AEM and Injen both share similar philosphies(sp?)... Whatever makes more power is what they will produce; bottom line. Since both companies seem to be going with short rams, then that means cold airs made no more power and therefore short ram is the way to go (ahem, MrDecible). With that said, what you are looking for will be in your hands shortly (see above).

As for Dyno numbers, it'll probably bit a little while for them to come out since the product is SO new and in Injens case; unreleased. Can't give ya' numbers on something that's now out.

E-mail me and I will get you numbers, direct from AEM, when they come out... I'll even call them Monday morning for ya'.
