problems with using used hks cams?

Hey guys i'm contemplating a decision to buy a set of used 10k mile hks 264/272 cams, has anyone had a problem with using used cams assuming that they are in excellent shape. Is this a bad idea?

i figured that would be ok but i have a good friend arguing that used is bad because they have to break in and bed into the cam bearings in the head. my argument is that the bearings are already broken in for the stock cams so i figure any cam new or used is really not gonna make a difference because no matter what the new cams were not used with a brand new head anyway.
