I was more interested in seeing if there was an existing problem with a batch of the clutches Al, hense the post. I chose to ask the community the question, considering it was over the weekend when I found it.
So far, bupkiss. Not a one.

I realize that you as a supplier of services, would prefer to be contacted first. That you would like the opportunity to rectify a poor tune/customer issue prior to it being made public. I can understand your position. If I had provided a service, that was less than what the customer expectation was, I would prerfer to talk to them direct, instead of reading about it after the fact. In this case, Im the end user, not the supplier/tuner and Im not angry, just curious.

Im not bashing Exedy, I know there are plenty of high horsepower cars out there running this same clutch, with great results, I was more flabberghasted at the failure mode, and more hoping to read that X serial number through X serial number had an open recall on them.

Eventhought that the Exedys are known for eating their discs relatively fast, this type of wearing is definitely abnormal...

I am curious if Exedy examines the kit what they will find...
My additude is that when something goes wrong with a motorsports part I like to give the manufacturer a change to see what kind of customer support they can offer before I post pictures of a failed part on the internet

I guess i did not care for the title

If he was curious abouit other failures of this kind he could have simply asked if anyone has had the SPLINES on a solid disk non sprung exedy clutch fail?

I have no idea if the clutch material was defective in this situation or if there is another explanation for the failure. What bothers me is when people post things which can harm a companies reputation without giving them an opportinity first to make it right.

Speaking from experience Exedy is a great compoany which cars about its products and also stands behind them.

Rest assured Al, I will give a full report of how Exedy handles it, and the end result. That includes me botching the install, if it is deamed that is the case.
As to you taking offense to my thread title, grow a thicker skin, go to Stake n Shake and have a tripple with cheese on me.

Simply no way that is a botched install. Simply no way its abuse as there is no heat marks. I would think exedy would warranty that without question.
