I recently toasted my organic disc at the track. I am going to a puck clutch....ACT said that I could just machine the flywheel (Xact prolite)and pressure plate (HD)...that way all I would have to buy is the disk, 125$ Have any of you guys dont this before?

You can resurface the flywheel and the casting on the pressure plate but we don't recommend the latter. To do the pressure plate it would require that it be diassembled and put back together. Once it was put back together it would need to be rebalanced.

Unless you have a qualified clutch rebuilder in your area that can do all of the above I'm pretty certain that we would not have told you to resurface it. Veriify that the surface of the pressure plate is still even and not warped or cracked with a straight edge. I would really like to just get the disk.

Im about to say screw it and hit the Pressure plate with a light abrasive and get the flywheel turned and test my luck.
