yes you have to extend the o2 wires. just make sure you hook them up properly. I marked the wires with different colored eletrical tape, than I cut in the middle of the tape so the same color was specific to each wire. you can go to radio shack and buy a package of 5 different colors i think. black, red, green, yellow, blue

 

its only two wires though right?

I had a rattle also, the metal above the exhaust was vibrating and hitting on the exhaust at certain RPM, I just bent it up further out of the way, I have BR equipment though........ but just a thought... See pic :
