Slipping Clutch

So today I was jumpen on the free way and just getting up to speed and i accelerated hard in 3rd and my RPM's shot up to about 4500 dropped to about 3750 and then started to climb again. I assume thats my clutch going bad. I know that the stock clutch isnt exactly the best clutch for the Evo IX so i dont want to go with the stock clutch again. I've had my eye on the Fidanza 3.2 kevlar, it's right in my price range and I like how Kevlar wont glaze and goes back to it's original state after cooling down (or so I've heard; my source being a video on streetfire.net by a representative from Fidanza). On a daily basis I dont exactly drive my car very hard but there are times when I do, and I hardly ever launch my car so im not looking for a full drag race clutch just something that will be good for around 400 hp because I do plan on modding my car soon. I would really appreciate the advice anyone is willing to give and i would be more than happy to listen to anyone that would like to point me in a different direction of either manufacturer's or the material used in the clutch. Thanks again guys!

The problem I have with the heavy pressure plate single disc's is the huge increase in pedal effort in order to hold the same amount of torque as the twins with stock like pedal pressure. My buddy is considering selling his car with an ACT 2600 because I let him drive my Evo with a Exedy twin! If your car is a daily driver, something else to consider is the amount of times you want to change the clutch. Also clutches are cheaper than drivetrain parts so let the clutch slip a little to save the tranny and transfer case. Just my .02

Since you mentioned this, I'll say Exedy Twin is the best for you.

Im pretty sure everyone is gunna say "get the exedy twin" but for $1400 you might be better off getting an ACT or Findaza, worth half as much and last...
