RPM Acting Wierd

Well I was riding around today and this Mustang GT revd on me. I know I should have just kept driving like I didnt even hear it but.... I pushed the clutch in and revd to about 6k. When I let off the gas the RPMs went back down very slow as if my foot was still on the throttle a little bit.... It didnt do it again but what could it be? Is this a warning sign for something terrible? HELP PLZ!

Dont know exact scenario and all, but before u rev so high from a low rpm, why dont u build up a lil oil pressure first? Just a thought. And no to ur question, doesnt seem out of ordinary
