STOCK BLOCK, Pump Gas record??

Does anyone happen to know exactly who holds/what is the stock block (100% stock internals) record for 93 octane on a MUSTANG DYNO? When I say 93 octane, I mean 93 octane alone . Absolutely no meth, etc. If anyone has any idea, could you please chime in .

how about stock block 1/4 mile time......on 93...instead of horsepower record on a dyno....people act like hp records on dynos etc..all dynos dont read the same its a tuning device..not a bragging right..

How about the question at hand, instead of 1/4 mile time. I understand where your coming from, and agree 100%. However, I am simply curious . If it helps any better, I will narrow it down to a MUSTANG DYNO only.

This question makes no sense??..yet we have a ton of people around here bragging about 93 pump gas records on built bottom ends?? Come on guys, I simply want to know who has made the largest number on pump gas, on the STOCK BLOCK, from a Mustang Dyno! If you haven't, or don't have any usefull information..there is no need to chime in, it's very simple!

I have read somewhere on this forum that 600(ish)whp was conceivable, but, I am skepitcal. I too, however, would like to know the answer to your question. I was actually just thinking of modding my Ev9 to see the limit of the stock block. Problem is - and it's a big problem- cost.

Its only a big problem if you don't have a built bottom end waiting in the wings :-)

That's actually the point - the arguments are arising specifically BECAUSE of the differences in dynos despite them both being Mustang Dynos. The Buschur records are records on their dyno - that's it. It's impossible to compare across the entire world. Good luck proving "stock block," too, because the block itself isn't a problem. There are many internals to be changed without touching the block.

^This guy will drill his political correctness into you till your face is blue... No point in trying to reason with him... With that said...

Come up with YOUR definition of stock block and maybe we can narrow it down for you in the numbers that we have seen recently...

ie. cams allowed? ported stuff allowed? springs/retainers allowed? clutch swap allowed??

I couldn't care less about political correctness - I detest it, in fact.

Give those "requirements" and then tell me how you plan to prove them. It's pointless really...

When I say stock block, I mean stock internals. I could careless whats done to the head, and port work would be allowed. Cams, springs, retainers, intake mani, throttle body, etc.. all bolt ons allowed. Anything and everything is allowed as long as it is 100% stock internals as far as the block itself goes. OH, and ONLY 93 Octane of course .

Okay then...

Now that we have that nailed down...

The only two people I know that have anything close to that would be DTM's "record" and Buschur's "record"... Take your pick...

-E

P.S. 93 Octane is mostly an East Coast gasoline so most of the "records" will come out of that region...

I would also think times would be much more relevant than numbers.

Time is def. relevant, in another aspect. However, one person may be able to drive a certain car better than another person, see where in coming from?? Times can fluctuate just as much as numbers from different Mustang Dyno's can. I'm not concerned about times in this thread. I'm simply curious as to numbers on 93 pump gas, from a stock block/stock internal Evo on a Mustang dyno. I'm not sure how much more clear I can make this.

I think it would be really nice to not see one more thread title that had the word "record" in it. These are great cars and all, but what is with all this "record" business. I mean should I call Guiness or something?
