Looks like you lost a bit of power below 2800 RPM's there Scheides

His car really did respond well to the HKS 280's and I see no reason not to get them on a stock turbo car if you have a decent tuner in your area.

Also just for safety, you should invest in springs, retainers, and headstuds.
thats great! i already have the ARP Head Stud installed, and would definitely get some spring & retainers..... i love lopey idle so thats not any of my concern great input guys i think im going for it,

PS-- you don't need springs/retainers with the HKS 280's, just keep the revs reasonable and you won't have a problem. Again, I have 35k miles on my setup, beaten on daily ARP's are good though

PPS- you don't need cam gears either

ive been running GSC S2s with my stock turbo and they're awesome. I lost a little spool (3800ish for 24*) but they're great.

Check with 'Manny@toplevel'. He's running 280's on his stock turbo set-up. His car is on the list of 'fastest stock turbo cars in 08'.

You should be fine. Keep it under 8k.

c'mon people ... you cannot compare one manufacturer's "280" cam to another manufacturer's "280" cam. Different lift, different ramp rates, etc. It's comparing apples to oranges. HKS 280 cams will work with the stock turbo. Plenty of people have done so. As far as I've seen, setting them to +2/0 seems to work best - it did for me and Ted B and a few others...

I think or well I hope most of us know that, more than likely giving some feedback on different 280 cams. I mean they are giving the manufacturer's name followed by "280"

I would say Comp 280/280 or Tomei 280/280 hands down they are the best and you still have room to go bigger turbo or more boost you will have crazy topend with both

Did you change anything other than cams between the before and after run?
