is it worth going for the QTP downpipe(600$)
are the gains worth it?

there are gains to be found. do some searching, a member by the name of alan678 recently did some test on the qtp downpipe with awesome reults.

All depends on your cat and catback. Gains should be pretty good. Dont see why you wont gain 10more hp over a 3" catback.

i have the cut out in my 8.

i bought the piece from ebay than just welded it to the down pipe...and let me tell u that i felt a difference in spool time on a stock turbo and a lil more power.

You can gain some good hp and tq with your set up. Most gain in the 20-30hp range. More power you make the more you gain open vs closed. We have some big turbo cars gain 50-100 hp. Had a turbo viper that gained 200hp.

I think the main reason to buy this is to have the best of both worlds--quiet stock system and track loudness and performance. That's why I have one.

Thank You Guys. I bought a used QTP downpipe from my friend. And i ordered a CUT OUT switch 4 days ago. any idea on how long that will take to come in? having a shop do the install for me.
