Any results or times from the shoot out
You comments add nothing to this discussion. What you're saying is rediculously closed minded and worthless. That is the exact same as saying "Boost is lame... anything can make power with boost.... it is the only reason so many street imports are so quick"
They are simply two different methods of achieveing the same end result - getting more oxygen into the engine so you can add more fuel and make a bigger bang. That's it. One happens to be more popular with imports, the other happens to be more popular with domestics. . .
Back on topic -- Congratulations to all winners today!! My buddy ran his first ever pass in the 9's using AMS's new GT850R turbo and won the AWD DOT tire class.
I believe Kigley ran in the 8's a couple times.
The announcer said AL's car spit a piece of piston or rod out of the motor and that it was laying on the side of the track. Hope it is something less severe and you're back up and running again soon.
Buschur's RS had a hose come loose and spit coolant on Trent's leg, so Trent made his last 2 runs in a borrowed low 10 second EVO. Should be an easy fix, but sounds like a mess to clean up. Thank God the hot coolant didn't burn him worse. Imagine if you had been wearing shorts!
There was a DSM there that grenaded on the launch and continued down the track at 5mph spilling oil the whole length of the track. That gave us a nice lunch break while they cleaned the track.
Seemed like a high number of failures today compared to what I've seen at the DSM/EVO shootout. Perhaps it's because it's early in the season and everyone is still getting the bugs worked out . . .

My car is still running the full sized factory rotors, factory Brembo brakes and I am running on only Hoosier DOT's. NO full slick. Best 60 foot time of the day was a 1.51 but on that pass Trent decided to lift to shift each gear, looking at that slip the car was on a 9.3X run............next time out I am fairly confident it will go faster.
My goal for the year was a 9.2 at 155 mph. Already have the 155 accomplished.
The black car did great too considering it was just brought back to us at 4:30 Friday afternoon, in pieces. 4 passes and we got it dialed in as well as last year. We have some changes to make and really need to finish putting it together. Next time out in the car should be interesting.

Trent ran the black EVO with AMS on the side of it (sorry my mind is blank and I know the owners name but can't remember it) that race was also very very close at the finish line. Trent lost with a 10.20'ish run to the winners low low 10. Also, congrats to him as he ran his first ever 9 second run (the black EVO with the AMS stickers) this weekend, a 9.98, very nice job.

This is definitely not the last time i will be out there for this event. What a great day for racing. Congrats to Buschur Racing and the crew. I look forward for the event next year.
It was without a doubt a world class racing opportunity for those who have attened the past years of this event as it is evolving into a "import" event. Its really a premier track, and today could not have been a better day to have a race.
I enjoyed seeing the car show scene start to take root and Master J Rod running the show over there. When I saw the Smart car, and the price of gas at the pumps, I think the car show scene may take off in upcoming years. IF I had known my desteny for the afternoon, I would have entered the car show myself.
Drove all the way home - 10 hours straight - racked the car on a lift and found that apparently a rod fastner had failed. I drive my car hard and rev the **** out of it, so its not suprizing to see a rod bolt let loose at the top of 4th gear. too bad that it happened, but as I have said before, I don't care what I break as I enjoy working on the car more than driving it, and if I ever stop working on my car I will loose my favorite lift at ICS.
At the end of the day, my head is fixated on the Evo X. I spent the past 4 days tuning Evo X's and its great to see the Buschur Flash tunes working so well - 12.2 @ 111 on stock turbo full weight on the Buschur Evo. I think before long those cars will be 11 second cars on the stock turbo and cams with a few simple bolt ons and a tune. Not bad for a heavier Evo.
Good to see so many of my friends.
As Arnold said "I'll be back!"

Hmm if thats true i don't see how its a true evo anymore. Like the evo that runs low 8.2 sec which has a tube frame we don't even look as a evo. Doesn't Shep run a ford 9" rear end? with a welded diff up front?
