I just installed a walbro 255 fuel pump and now my car hesitates and i cant rev past 4k rpm. It idles fine but is very hard to drive as it hesitates like crazy. Is this normal after a 255 fuel pump install cause of the added fuel pressure? I'm getting ready to tune so i wanted to have all my stuff ready before. I thought i would be able to drive it around under normal throttle for at least a couple weeks. Please help, as i am about to take it back out.

btw, i have a custom tune for stock right now.

 

go over the install and check everything.

you need a tune as soon as u put it in. i put mine in and flashed in my friends walboro fuel map before even starting my car using my stock fuel maps

 

Make sure that you put the nipple back on the bottom of the new pump, sound like exaclty happened to me a couple of weeks ago, rechecked the work and found that we forgot to put the nipple back on the bottom.

 

nevermind thanks for the help guys. I forgot to put that little plastic washer in between the fuel pump and the rubber grommet

 

so weird that a little plastic washer can **** with you so much!!
