manual boost controller your boost will spike then taper to redline.

Where as a ebc will spike and try and maintain that boost lvl. My hks evc does it and so does the apexi avcr and greddy profec b.

As for the gm boost solenoid not sure as we know i was told i was wrong. lol.

edit:dont need the jdm map sensor

Go for the GM boost solenoid. Boost is more consistant, spools faster and doesn't spike as much. Ditched the Hallman MBC for it.

i just had a lengthy converstion about this with johnbradley and it comes down to what level of flexibility would you prefer. A mbc is simpler, cheaper, and it takes 12 seconds to throw in some c16 and turn a nod instead of pulling out the laptop and throwing in a flash whenever you want to change your boost level. As far as boost taper, put in a better wastegate actuator.

You wont regret going GM solenoid and Reese Tuning! Reese Tuning just got done installing my green,cams/ret&springs and I decided to go GM as well and I could not be happier with the result! James and Alan@ Reese Tuning were awesome throught the process, quick turnaround time and excellent customer service!! They even got in touch with me the next day to make sure everything was still running smooth.

It takes a 1/4 sec to flip the switch and change maps with Ecu-boost and the alt map mod.
