How many 10 sec cars are running a SINGLE DISC clutch?

I'm at a point where i need to find a clutch that suits my car's needs.

I know most of the popular cars on this forum w/ higher hp > 500 and tq >400 are running twins or triples.

How many of you are out there running in the 10 sec range and running a single set-up of some sort? What brand/model?

Thanks

i havnt been to a 1/4 track but my 1/8 mile times are good for a 10 sec pass.

Im running an act 6 puck extreme. It holds the power fine but i get locked out if i try to shift fast( clutch is adjusted out pretty far)

so im going to be upgrading to a twin or tripple before I go to the track next.

ACT and lock out hmmm seems like a common problem

Remember clutchs are rated by tq not hp will will be fine with a single disk. When you get to the point where your clutch is only lasting so many passes thats when you upgrade to a twin disk.

Once you switch to a twin disc you'll never look back. Yes there noisy vs. a single, but being able to shift as fast as you want without plowing your clutch pedal thru the floor is worth the noise!

goes with the twin, the noise is not bad at all and they are rebuildable

The ACT Extreme 6 pucks lock out NOT the ACT heavy duty. Yes the ACT HD is a cheaper clutch but its a better one. (go figure)

I know Meth powered 35Rs running ACT HD with no issues.

Talk to TTP Engineering. He will confirm this.

IF you can't afford the Exedy Twin The ACT HD clutch kit is the next best (smartest) move.

Ive used both the hd and the xtreme with both street disks and puck, they both have lockout issues shifting at 9k.

do yourself a favor and buy at the twin disc instead of a single disc clutch.

they may be more expensive, but worth it.

I've went through 3 or 4 different ACT clutches before I got my twin disc.
the pedal effort is way better and you don't have to worry about lockout.

This man speaks the truth!

THE HECK WITH A SINGLE DISC CLUTCH! Multi-disc is where its at.

The noise isnt even that bad and normally is only heard when pressed in.
