weird boost broblem??

hey guys im having a little issue with my boost readings. i was trying to turn boost up but my gauge never showed over 25psi but as i kept turning the mbc up my afr got leaner, load went up, and started showing knock. so i knew the engine was seenin more boost but gauge wasnt. so i checked my source at the fpr and everything looked fine. then as an experiment i switched boost source to the bov line and my boost started reading 30psi but with little vac at idle and coasting. so i know the vac on the bov line isnt right but is the boost right? or is it seening a inflated boost reading for some reason? when i got tuned a long time ago on a dyno they hooked there boost gauge to the bov line so i guess it would show accurate readings?

so to sum it up fpr source showed 25psi and wouldnt go up, swiched boost gauge source to bov line and it showed 30psi, anyone know what might be happening? thanks

its the electric one so the map sensor is mounted right behind the glove box with a little white tube going to the source...

so i guess the first thing i need to figure out is if the bov line and the fpr line read the same boost. if it does then i need to find out why im gettin a 5psi diff in readings....
