Best Bang For $ intercooler? (No EBay)
ETS...I just picked up the ets 3.5" from my friend (he upgraded to a 4" core). using all stock piping I can see and feel a quicker boost response, faster spool. The other thing that I found was doing logs and compairing them to older logs (91 pump 22.5psi) to logs after installing the IC, same boost and map. On the old logs I was hitting 260 load using 2 byte load mod on evo scan. I how hit 270 load with changing nothing on the tune.
the ETS model is good, but the best bang for your $ on the IC is to only purchase one, this means if you are plannig going big on the future, go big now, that way you don´t buy same part twice.
Now that ladys and gentlemen, is the best bang for your $.

Another reason why ETS is still up there for bang-for-the-buck. I don't ever plan on putting a different intercooler on after getting my 3.5" widetank.
There is no doubt that Buschur makes a good FMIC. But even you said it yourself ETS is best "bang for buck". I love Buschur products, but I wasn't able to get past the price of the ETS FMIC and LICP combo. I had to buy it. Plus ETS has also been proven.
AGP Intercooler
I just purchased the AGP intercooler. I spoke with Kevin at AGP, he designs and produces the products. He confirmed that they use SPEARCO cores for the EVO. Thanks to Shameless Tuning and a few members on here for returning my PM's with helpful info. I'll make a post once I install it. Should be sometime next week.

Thank you for your help. Much appreciated. I live in South Carolina where a 100F is normal. I'm really curious to see if a larger intercooler is gonna help any.
Not to take anything away from ETS, as I'm sure they make a fine product, but they've been selling their Evo FMIC for a bit over a year, at least on EvoM. Buschur, OTOH, specializes in Evos and has run numerous tests, built a multitude of very and fast and reliable Evos, refined the product over time (again, through long-term testing), and offers an Evo-specific option to the enthusiast. I don't think that it's fair to either vendor to equate the two products, seeing how much time and effort was allocated to the project.

That's actually not exactly right as HPF is their own company, but yes we did build all of the EVO products that were initially private label branded as HPF products
We've been in testing of our own intercooler core since 2003. To my knowledge we are actually the only intercooler manufacturer using our own core design inside and out, which was developed as a result of many years of testing. We have used cores from Garrett, Spearco, Modine, Bell and others for years prior to that. Our first design we felt improved upon the best characteristics of all of those listed, without the compromises of some. We are now on our 4th generation core, which as a combination of features outperforms anything else we've encountered overall for efficiency, flow, airflow to the radiator, resistance to heatsoak, etc. as a performance package. The performance of our race cars and sponsored cars (not just EVOs) confirm those statements, and our customers regularly report the same awesome results. We've spent a significant amount of time to reach the product we ship daily, and I believe it shows
