AMS 50 trim kit oil problem....

Ok so i have seen a little oil smoke coming from under my hood for the past couple days.. I thought it might be stuff burning off from the install, like a little oil ect. Soo today it seemed to get worse soo i check the oil feed and return no leaks. Then i look at the side of the exhaust housing of the turbo. Oil is leaking from one of the bolts going into the exhaust housing for the turbo .

Soo with that being said what does that mean? How do i fix it?

Ok so i called ams their tech service was really good. But the problem is i might have to take off the kit that i paid 700 bucks to get installed. Now the thing is the oil is coming from the ring on the exhaust housing. Some oil is leaking from the bolts that hold it on. Some is coming from under that ring onto the exhuast housing.

So befor i take off the whole kit is their anything i can try? Should i try to crank down the bolts more? No oil is going into my exhaust so its not coming from my cylinder head or anything else.

This turbo is like 1 week old lol it boggles my mind how it could turn to crap already.

Oh and their is no oil getting into the exhaust. So that rules out the oil coming from the motor ect. I'm going to take some pics and post them up.

It just simply sounds like a seal is bad. Nothing you can do but have it rebuild/replace it. Doesn't matter the age, I've pulled brand new parts out of boxes before and had them be defective.

Its not your fault, and its not AMS's fault. Its just one of those **** happens things..

Check your return line for kinks. It should be a smooth kink free transition into the oil pan. A kinked return line can cause your issue.

Great advice, Ive seen this happen first hand on a freinds car. It took 10 minutes to fix on the car. Best of luck.

if you are taking this off yourself, you should have no problem putting it back on...no need to spend $700 again you can do it
