I just recently bought my evo 8 MR. Im pretty knowledgable on cars but this as you all know is not just a car, so I took the car home and inspected the engine. i realized the the ATF reservoir was completly emptly and my ACD lights were acting up so i took it to a mitsubishi dealer. They pumped out the air that was in there and refilled it to limit. they told me there was no external leakage but there might b some internal. i drove home and it was fine but when i woke up the next day and checked it it was really low! I need someone to let me know where can it go its affecting my gear shiffting. what can b the problem and how much would it cost to fix it. thanks in advanced.

 

IIRC, depending on what setting its on, the fluid level changes.

When the car is hot it should be at the max, when the car is cold it should be at the min.

Sounds like you might have a leak.

 

yeah but its not an external leak i had it inspected no leakage externally. but where is it transferring to? what major problems can occur and how much can it cost or might it cost me?
