Go to Napa auto parts. The part number is 060569. They are made by Gates. They are not the shiny blue version, but work great. I've been using it for a while now, and I think I paid around 15-20 for it.

It should be 57.5" in length I believe. This is for NON-AC.

FYI - if anyone is going to order from Summit Racing they list the incorrect part # for this. I waited 3 weeks for the belt and noticed it was the incorrect size when it arrived. Their site lists GTR-4050515 which is incorrect. The CSR I chatted with wasn't very helpful and said it was pretty unlikely that they would change their site. The only way I could confirm this size was by looking at advance auto parts site. (They list one incorrect one, but almost all of the other listings are for the correct length and ribs)

Probably needless to say, but I'll be ordering the replacement from Advance.

I've also heard great stories about these belts from other big block supercharger users.

I agree.. Go to AutoZone and pick up the Goodyear Gator Belt.. I want to say its around ~30, but you can't beat the quality and how they are built to last!! Also, I have a 2005 EVO and for some reason when I go in there.. I have to tell them 2003.. they don't have 2005 EVO parts in the system for some reason :P

Yeah, I called autozone to check for a part # (before I ordered from Summit) and they said they didn't list any belts for the Evo IX. Advance is semi-local too, so I'll pick it up there rather than ordering on-line. Auto Zone does seem to have one in stock, but I'll patron the people who gave me the right info.

 

Like said above... ask for an 03' for the accessory belt and you're gold... understand the patronage issues.

I still stand by the Gatorbacks being the longest lasting belts out there.

 

what about the Dayco poly cog belt?

Used it b4 and worked great, don't expect it to be any different in the Evo

 

They don't seem to be bad either. I've just yet to see a "normal" belt that will last better than the Gatorback. As I've said in the past, I abused the hell out of just about every 4 rib out there with a tiny pulley on a Eaton blower. It ate everything under the sun less the Gatorbacks. I fell upon them by mere chance when I did.

Truth is, I'm sure with the pulley arrangement on the Evo, any belt will last a good while. These should just last a little longer, quieter, etc.

My loyalty lies in what works vs. brand/country of origin loyalty. Some seem to hate me for that... sorry, I'm about best dollar spent.

 

Will these work with IX's too.. I was fixing to order a OEM belt and I'd so much rather just go by autozone and pick one up.

 

I believe both the 8 and 9 have the same length accessory belt.
