well the most popular is going to be the exedy twin disc, but it all depends on what mods/ power out put you have and how much money you want to spend.

the next best solution is ACT MB7-HDSS. alot of people run this setup and some have experienced some issues with high RPM lock out and some have not. i'm actually looking for a clutch as well. and the act is on the top of my list due to price. i saw the act on ebay for 505 shipped. thats cheapest i've seen it.

ACT MB7-HDSS is $545.99 shipped from MAP, but if you can find a lower price, including eBay Buy-It-Now auctions, they'll beat or match it. I've done a ton of business with these guys and they are great.

Another option would be Fidanza; I've been hearing a lot of good reviews about them lately. I recomend the Fidanza 2.1 for a stock or mostly stock Evo, otherwise the 3.2 is a great choice and can hold lots of power!

Im on my second act (drag racing, autox, and 45k miles of daily driving) and I am very happy with the performance. The only time I notice the "high rpm lockout" is going from first to second, so it may be something in the tranny for me. I am really happy to have installed a lightweight flywheel (roadrace's no name brand) when i did the clucth last(2 months ago)

Did you considering going with RRE's no-name clutch instead of the ACT?

I already had all of my parts from RRE, the tranny was out and I needed to get things together the next day. RRE had great service, and I got things within a few days from them but I needed the clutch kit ASAP and the ACT got here the next day. that and I had been very happy with the ACT, so I decided not to mess with a good thing.

I have a lot of plans for my car but it's basically stock right now. I hate the stock clutch. It just feels WAY too soft for me. I wanna go to the track without worrying about it going out on me. My friend has the ACT 2600 with ACT flywheel and he loves it. He has driven the hell out of that car and the clutch is doing great. Now I know a couple of you guys were talking about the twin disc exedy but should I consider that clutch for my first replacement of the stock since I won't have a lot of stuff done? I love the ACT's for their price and functionality but it seems like EVO guys go more with the Exedy.

The Exedy has been proclaimed to have a softer pedal feel while having no problems holding higher horsepower. the ACT is definitely heavier.
