Choice Of Block For High HP Build

I have a 2.4 4G64 block and was thinking about using an Evolution head. AMS used a 2.1 short block and I was looking at the 2.2 short block. I know that the 4G64 crank can handle more power, but with the bigger liter block it will lag more at high RPMS. So which block would be the best for a high HP motor build?

Use the 4g64 with shorter rods to destroke to 2.1 and rev it hi as hell. You get the displacement from the bore not the stroke. In fact the stroke is shorter than the 4g63 that way. I think you need to have the block machined to add oil squirters on the 4g64 block though.

go for a 4G64 motor with super long rods and rev the NUTS off it! it will spinn nearly as fast as a 2.0ltr 4G63 and have the extra CC to help spool the GT42RS trubo you can strap onto it! best of both world!

4g64 with 4g63 crank long *** rods and custom pistons hot hot hot, you will need to do something with your transmission to handle the extra rpm.

why reduce the CC when you could run stock stroke and long rods??

Use the block and Run the STOCK 8 Crank. 2.1
Your option at that point would be to run longer rods and a good quality piston for a better rod to stroke ratio.

if your using a gt42 keep it 2.0 or 2.1, but 2.1 can be a bit pricey

what the most anyone ahs bored a 4G64 out to?? is there any way of running a larger bore (maybe liners??)??

if you could then you could run a more square engine which would help with the RPM and capacity.
