Best Clutch and Flywheel Combo for Sub $1k
Best Clutch and Flywheel Combo for Sub $1k
What do you guys think? Is the ACT HD clutch with prolit flyweel a good combo? Or is there something better out there for Sub $1k I know the exedy twin is very good but I don"t have the cash for that.
Depends on how you use the car.
We have a street and strip clutch that is well proven if you are interested. It shifts better, higher than the HDSS and holds more power/tq.
The ACT streetlite FW is also a good choice and is easier to engage than the lighter pro. Lighter flywheels are marginally harder to engage from a stop and take more rpms to get them moving.

Fidanza 3.2 w/ 9.5lb flywheel! I am currently using this flywheel with a southbend clutch and LOVE the combo, but it is not happy at all with launching. If it ever lets go, the fidanza 3.2 is what I'll be replacing it with.

Doesn't get bothered by my Exedy Twin Disc noise. Just loves how it performs with stock pedal feel AND still grabs like new after almost 2 years of AGGRESSIVE driving.
Do more SEARCH and u guys will see why a lot of Evo owners prefer and use the Exedy Twin.

+1 thats what I'm running in my dsm and it feels like a stock clutch, it can hold up to 400ft-lbs, if you need more you can go with the 4.3
