We do not endorse the Fidanza clutches and flywheels. Too many failures. Even on one of the shopcars. The cerametallic disc disintigrated in 600 miles and fused to the Fidanza flywheel.

They warrantied both, but who wants to pay $600+ to tear out their clutch a few times?

The only draw to the Fidanza flywheel was their replaceable contact surface which turns out is hardly user serviceable. We have had to buy new surfaces and then send them out to Fidanza so they could use custom tooling to actually replace it.

Big thumbsdown from TTP.

Stock disk, TOB, and pressure plate for about $300 if you know the parts guys pretty well and go there often. This is the same price for stage 1 cheepo's with lower quality disk's (in my opinion).

My flywheel was good enough to surface it myself by hand but I did send it off to a machinist to get balanced afterwards($80)

Before purchasing a twin disk.... find a friend in the area that has one and drive his car. They are very noisy especially when you are sitting in the drivers seat. Excellent clutch but not needed at the 400hp level.

If you care about the noise a twin disk makes turn up the music or something.... its really not that bad...

I whole heartedly disagree , the twin plate clutch was the 2nd most annoying mod Ive ever done to my evo . Only to be beat out by a duma$s HKS SSV BOV .

It made long trip with my wife hell with all the growling noise , cant hear the radio , having to talk loud and "Why are you yelling at me" ....

Its darn right embarrassing to have a $30k + car sound like a tin can with bolts rolling around inside it when decelling , and with the A/C on wow it sounded like it was going to fall apart . AKA a total POS .

Oh for the record my twin clutch could shift NO faster than the stock clutch , still had the "lock out" on 1-2 power shifting . On 2-3 and 3-4 up shifts it could shift very fast (so can the stocker) but then you start getting knock (due to slaming the gears) and the ECU would pull timing , so ....

But she did take the back to back to back drag launches with ease ...
